I Get It

Jolie Beth Boudreaux, MA LPC | Licensed Professional Counselor and ADHD/Neurodiversity Coach

As someone who has ADHD, I have the lived experience of navigating school, work, and relationships with many of the same strengths and struggles that you have experienced or may be experiencing. I spent many hours in detention for being chronically late to school. My academic performance didn’t match my ability (homework?…No.) I was involved in everything and often struggled to get things finished. I was (and honestly still am) the QUEEN of getting things done at the last minute. I was infinitely curious, threw myself into projects with gusto, and struggled with perfectionism. I had little patience with rules that didn’t make sense to me. I talked. A lot.

I was also, unbeknownst to me at the time, creating coping strategies that helped me succeed along the way. Once I embraced the label of ADHD, I was able to look back on the struggles in my elementary school, high school and college years and say, “Yep. That sounds about right.” But I was also able to recognize the amazing things I was able to do and the ingenuity my young self exhibited in getting things done and creating a path for success. The most impactful strategy was leaning into the way my brain wanted to work instead of fighting against. Breaking the rules for how to be a successful student, or adult, or (fill in the blank) and making my own rules to be successful on my own terms.

I have over 20 years experience as a licensed professional counselor,  multiple degrees,  have extensively studied ADHD and neurodiversity, and have created multiple trainings for ADHD including an ADHD certification program for counselors and coaches and designed 2 signature coaching programs.  I have used that knowledge to create a wonderful, successful and fulfilling life for myself and my clients.  You can have that life, too.  With my signature coaching programs, I have helped hundreds of clients with ADHD transform their lives and I’m excited to help you, too.
